USB flash drives are typically removable and rewritable, and physically much smaller than an optical disc. The USB connector may be protected by a removable cap or by retracting into the body of the drive, although it is not likely to be damaged if unprotected. USB flash drives draw power from the computer via the USB connection. Some devices combine the functionality of a portable media player with USB flash storage; they require a battery only when used to play music on the go.

Now that you know what a usb flash drive is, am sure you will know how to get one. Rename it as “RAM DRIVE” or something similar, so you can see which drive is being used as RAM. Next step is to delete all the stuff on the flash drive, check for hidden files. Or you can easily format it. Right click on My Computer, and go to Properties. Once there, click on Advanced and go to the system output’s Settings. Click on Advanced, and then Edit. Click on your thumb drive above, and select “user-defined size.” Here you can see the size of your flash drive.

Now calculate the size of the flash drive, and subtract 5 Mb.Type this number in the first box. In the second box, type in the same number. Click Set and confirm all your settings, applying them wherever you can. Restart your computer and enjoy.
