Why do you expect your careless prayers to work? See how Voodoo is prepared!: Religion : Nigerialog.com - Nigeria's Premier Online Forum
This vital information is meant to educate Christians (or other believers in one God) who depend on prayers for survival in a wicked world of witchcraft. I stumbled upon a video of a native doctor (dibia in Igbo) who was preparing a good luck charm called “Awele”, and this write-up is to discuss how much detail that goes into preparing it. The idea is to make the reader to understand how such charms are made, and why careless prayers are ineffective against them.Making The CharmFirst, the dibia released three live kites from their cages which flew to distance places to bring back specific leaves needed for the charm. At least that is what the dibia said, and one is compelled to believe him until a contrary evidence is presented. He then started to undergo the processing of the charm, sealing of each stage with the killing and sprinkling of chicken blood on the charm. The leaves and roots were carefully pounded, cooked, and placed inside a containing dark cloth. Next, a big ball of wool strings was wrapped severally around the charm. Next is that several keys were introduced, apparently to lock into place the incantations that would come next. At every stage, a chicken was killed, and the blood sprinkled upon the charm. And thus the processing continued till the end. This next stage is what every Christian should bear in mind every time he or she prays. The dibia started to invoke and call upon different gods of the land, starting from the God Almighty, down to several powerful local gods including the goddesses of the seas. Next, the dibia invoked the spirits of the ancestors to come and empower the charm. Next, the dibia invokes the powers of the “Ofo” ( a very powerful spiritual staff in Igbo spiritualism) beginning with the staff of the oldest clan ancestor, to the most recent ancestor. This clan had EIGHT ancestral ofo, and each was invoked. It means that the ancestors to the eight generation were invoked! Any Igbo that knows about the ofo staff would understand the powers behind that staff. Next, the dibia invokes the spirits of ALL the dibias from ancient times who had prepared this type of charm during their lifetimes. In each cycle of invocations, the dibia would say “This practice did not start with me. You people did it first. It is our culture!”. Finally, the dibia starts to test whether the charm was accepted by the gods. In the last ritual of killing of the chicken and spilling its blood, the dibia drops the chicken whose throat had been slit to the ground and then says that if the chicken struggles and dies while facing up, it means that the ritual was accepted by all these gods. If the chicken settles sideways or face down, it means the ritual was not accepted. In this instance, the chicken did indeed die face up after struggling, and the dibia rejoiced that his efforts were not in vain. Now, this ritual is supposed to be effective regardless of where the owner lives ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. As a matter of fact, the charm was presented before a particular god whose job is to make it effective anywhere in the world. Keep in mind that this charm is for GOOD LUCK.The next question that you as a Christian should ask is this: If this detailed effort goes into a good luck charm, how much detailed efforts would likely go into a “bad luck charm”, or a charm with evil goals? Perhaps more; perhaps less, but likely more. However, for it to be effective, one can surmise that at least the same cycle of invocations involving many gods, many ofos, many ancestral spirits, and many ancestral dibias would be involved. The Right Way to Approach PrayersIn light of these detailed efforts that went into producing this effective charm; why then do you think that one minute prayer is enough to keep you safe (assuming this charm is for harm) from these type of charms? If the dibia spent DAYS or WEEKS to prepare a diabolical charm, why do you think that simple few minutes of prayer is enough to counter it, especially if you are not a FULL TIME dedicated "man of God"? Mind you, these dibias tap into the hierarchy and authorities of heaven (starting from God himself) to prepare these charms. Do you now understand why a lot of Christians suffer from the effects of charms? So, what is the solution to overcoming the powers of charms?I hate sounding like a broken record, but you MUST be born again FIRST. Jesus came and died EXACTLY to empower believers to overcome these types of things. Once you become born again, you begin a JOURNEY that will eventually get you to a place of dominion and power over these types of things. It is NOT an overnight thing, or careless process. It is a DELIBERATE process of carefully developing a relationship with the God of heaven, through his son Jesus Christ. You get power when you do this, because it is written: John 1:12“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”This message is not about going into details of how you build your Christian life and faith. It is just to open your eyes about certain truths -how some spiritual things work in this world. Perhaps the most important sections of the Bible for a Christian to use as props or support for building the requisite life of faith, and in living a life of dominion are these: 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; The BlueprintThe next is a blueprint of HOW you gain power over these dark forces. AFTER you become born again, memorize this below:Ephesians 6: 10-1810 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--From personal experience, some of these weapons of warfare are used more frequently (in dealing with these types of forces ) than the others. Don’t get me wrong, they are ALL important, but a Christian that is facing spiritual warfare should QUICKLY master some of them. Apostle Paul did not arrange them in any particular order; so feel free to arrange them anyway that suits you, but be sure to put on ALL the armor of God that you may stand in the day of evil. First, claim your position of salvation with the heavens by acknowledging that Jesus died for you. That is the helmet of salvation. For me:(1) Breastplate of righteousness: Even in Igbo spiritualism, preparing a charm to harm an innocent person is very difficult; because some of these local gods also hate injustice. They don’t like to harm “onye aka ya di ocha” (a person with clean hands). The dibias still prepare such evil charms, but they are very expensive (in money and materials) and can , (and often do) backfire easily, especially if the victim prays for such to backfire. So, I presume that dibias avoid such charms more.So try your best to be righteous, as in Love God; Love your neighbor (Really love them, be honest about this because the spiritual world is a naked world; there are no lies there). (2) The sword of the spirit: This is the word of God (the power of using Biblical quotes and Psalms in prayer). Use this as you would any physical sword. Go on the offense, and do not spare the spiritual enemy. Exodus 22:18 “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” Pray disruptive prayers. Remind God of his words by saying “It is written”, or “thus says the Lord”, or “according to your word O Lord”.Yes, God knows his words, but when you remind him of them it tells him that you are studiously following him, and he rewards those who do that.(3) Pray SERIOUS prayers: Remember that this dibia spent days and weeks to prepare his charms. So, pray DETAILED prayers -leave no stone unturned. You may ask how to pray detailed prayers. I say first start with long periods of praise and worship songs and meditation preparatory to your “main course prayer”. Me? I sometimes sing praise and worship songs for one hour first before beginning the main course prayer, but sometimes I sing them for DAYS before the prayer. During the prayers, you must use your emotions to pray. Don’t pray mechanical prayers, because God sees your heart and feels your spirit. Memorize some powerful Psalms (this has proven unbelievably powerful!), and say the Psalms preparatory to praying. Take authority over your prayer environment by binding and removing evil powers that would block your prayers if you don’t remove them. Declare your EVERLASTING love (as in whether you live, or die) for God and for Jesus the Beloved son.Remind Jesus that he bought you with his previous blood on the Cross of Calvary. Remind him that you now belong to him! You live for him! This is VERY important because these powers claim ownership over you through your ancestors. Jesus bought you from them. That is why he says:Matthew 11: 28-30:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light. The “Ofo”, for example, is a staff of authority recognized by God in Igbo family lineage. It is the authority with which your ancestors lay claim over you before God’s court. Never forget that God runs a government, and there is hierarchy in that government. That is why God said in Isaiah 49: 24-26:24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. The spirits of your ancestors and gods they worshiped all claim you as LAWFULLY theirs before God.That is why this dibia was invoking their spirits during his ritual. These forces wield TREMENDOUS influence over people, and the ignorant ones are clueless about this fact. But in that Isaiah 49:24-26, God says that even the captive of the mighty shall be taken away and the prey of the TERRIBLE (some of the wicked gods worshiped by our ancestors) shall be DELIVERED, for? God will himself confront these powers and deliver you. Even the dibia knows that God is SUPREME over all gods. God himself, through Jesus (God who delivers) will save you once you understand how these things work and get in step to claim them if you become born again. The “strongholds” Paul spoke about in 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 are the powers of the “Ofo”, the charms, the local gods, and the ancestral spiritual institutions in place that the dibia is invoking against you. You can pull all of them down in your life and in the lives of your immediate family members. You can live above their intentions or plans for you. You live according to Jesus' plan for you instead!May God grant us the grace to draw closer to him, to allow us to partake in the power available to his children, in Jesus Name, Amen!
