The federal government has stated that on no account should schools demand for COVID-19 test as prerequisite for permission of entry into schools.

It said only temperature checks should be carried out on students and any other person crossing any school gate.

In a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Affairs to the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ben Goong, it said school authorities should desist from asking students or parents to undergo Covid-19 test before they are accepted in their schools.

The statement reads: “No COVID-19 test required for resumption of students. The Federal Ministry of Education says no Covid-19 test is required for returning students to be admitted into their schools.

“Only temperature checks should be carried out on students and any other person crossing any school gate. School authorities should therefore refrain from asking students or parents to undergo Covid-19 test before they are accepted in their schools.”

This is the second time that the federal government of Nigeria would take a policy step that is founded on SOLID GOOD SENSE and JUDGMENT.

The first was when the FG vowed never again to lock down the country for this covid-19 thing, citing the devastating effect the lock down had on the fragile economy of the country.

It should be self evident to every Nigerian that this covid-19 thing is not something we should allow to upend our lives. For a disease that has recorded less than 2,000 deaths in Nigeria, it is NOT WORTH it!

I just read  HERE   that pneumonia kills more than 120,000 Nigerian children EVERY YEAR. Those are the diseases we should focus on, and find lasting solution for. 

Next is for the government to reject any attempt to mandate the covid-19 vaccine under any circumstance.

The vaccine should be made available to anyone who wants/needs it. The rest of Nigerians should be left alone.

This is not time for herd abi na sheep mentality.
This is time for sound human thinking.
