How did the “cool kids” from high school turn out?

By Ramjoe (M)October 11, 2017, 05:37:08 AM
When I went to my 20-year high school reunion, I had one goal … to see again the girl of my dreams, whom I met in 7th grade and adored in both junior high and high school. Her name was Kathy Gardiner. I never had the guts to ask her out. I called her in 7th grade when my crush first began, but my sister overheard our conversation, and the conversation ended abruptly when my sister kept calling me “kissy boy” while I was on the phone.

At the time of my 20-year reunion, I was a columnist for my town’s newspaper and I wrote, before the reunion, about my crush on Kathy, in an article titled, “The Girl in the Red Dress.” Kathy saw the newspaper column and, when I saw her at my reunion, she told me, “That was hot!”

Her comment healed my years of pain and anguish over her, and I felt I could let the relationship go now (as we were both married). We never talked again, but I was finally at peace about my unrequited love for her.

Now, have you seen any of the "cool kids" from your high school recently? Kindly share with Nigerialog.com what they have turned out to become. Still cool? No more cool? Or even better? Do you still like your high school crush?
