Dutch fertility doctor used own sperm to father 49 children: Family : Nigerialog.com - Nigeria's Premier Online Forum
Mr Karbaat called himself "a pioneer in the field of fertilisation".
What he did is against Medical ethics, but the fact remains he fathered 49 children which is massive (that guy is so fertile).
Well...Any man who produces sperms at all can pull off the same feat, because his sperm didn't need to do the "heavy lifting" necessary to prove fertility. The doctor's sperms were simply injected into the eggs that fertilized the ova from these women. This is one of the reasons I tend to hesitate to support IVF procedures. To me, the process that brings a human being into this world should not have human hands involved -at all. And by "hands" I mean it literally. Let me digress a little with the hope of sustaining my point.I once watched a video of sperms ejaculated into a woman's VG, and the journey they make before they get to the ovaries. Mehn! That journey is a mystical and divine journey fraught with dangers and obstacles!Few sperms make it the whole way, and only ONE gets to penetrate the egg for fertilization.I don't even want to mention the amount of energy (both physical and spiritual) released as part of the ejaculation process in natural insemination. How then can such an intricate and detailed process be substituted by a single "man in the lab" (a total stranger) using a pipet to suck up a single sperm, and then injecting it (at his sole discretion) into an egg? Here's what would have satisfied me...(1) A woman's husband is taught how to do this whole thing(2) The husband prays and fasts for days asking God to guide his hands as he picks "the sperm" on the elected day(3) The husband injects the sperm while somehow engaged in a "lovemaking" environment with his wife.No doctors or other parties in site whatsoever! THAT would still fall short, but at least we won't have a scenario that leads to a doctor "fathering" 49 innocent kids from unsuspecting women some of whom are people's wives.I know my views on this may only exist in Lalaland, but I still think that kids coming into this world should be decided by God through the process he laid down from creation.I would even have accepted "illegal sex" between a man and a woman to produce these babies, at least it would still follow that natural process and it would be based on truth instead of deceit. But I won't go there because that is another deep topic that would need a whole book written on it. By this doctor fathering these 49 kids, he did more than rape these women and their husbands, some of who were denied the opportunity to reproduce.
