Where are you?

“And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.” (Genesis 13:3-4).

This is part of the sojourn of Abraham the father of faith, in chapter 12, he made a mistake by using human thinking and calculation during the farming, so he went to Egypt. His going was on his own account not after the leading of God. Scripture says “he went down to egypt” which is always the case anytime we go out of God’s plans. You can only move up with God’s plans.

Note that God will never make you lie and deceive people to keep you and get what you need in His plans, so anytime you begin to do that, watch it, you are either in egypt or on the way.

Notice in chapter 13 that the bible says he “went up out of egypt”, dont think you will continue in egypt and God will meet you there, you have to leave that place and come up to God.

The truth is that, in coming up, you have to come back to the point where you missed it with God. Abraham did by locating his altar back which signify is prayer life, what do you normally do for God that you have missed out? Today, locate back your place in him and start working towards coming back. For abraham, the journey took some days and it wont be different for you. You can only succeed in what you’re called to do and where you ought to be. Have a nice day.
